Better Decisions Better Outcomes

I take very seriously the Moraga Town Council’s primary role of making high-quality decisions representing all citizens of our special town.  Eight years ago, I committed to following through by listening, researching and making sound decisions, and I have done so.  I seek your support to continue.

​

My professional qualifications include a BS in Mechanical Engineering, MBA in Finance, Licensed Mechanical Engineer (retired) and Certified Project Management Professional (retired).  I served for over 20 years total on the Moraga Design Review Board, Planning Commission and Hacienda Foundation Board of Directors.  I am a long-term member of the Kiwanis Club of Moraga Valley.  I have led each of these local organizations and have been Mayor twice.

My technical and management career with Chevron included a five-year leadership assignment building competency in quality decision making for operating units across the world.  I have employed this expertise as a Council Member.

​

I value serving with all Town Council members.  We have brought diverse views and experiences, it hasn’t been perfect, but I’m proud of our accomplishments.  And I commend the many local volunteers and Town Staff who are critical to Moraga’s success.

​

My continuing priorities for Moraga include: Championing town safety including minimizing wildfire risks; Implementing the approved Housing Element Plan while retaining our semi-rural character; Supporting our commercial sector; Continuing to expand recreational opportunities; Maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure; And especially in this increasing costs environment, continuing to be fiscally prudent to protect our financial viability.
